Hello, I feel so happy to be here. I have long admired Alistair on the various TV shows he has been on, his gentle, easy going and kind personality shines through. Today I discovered Mindsprings and am looking forward to exploring the site and learning. I am originally from Hertfordshire, UK but now live in New Mexico where I own an alpaca farm with over 40 alpacas. I find alpacas to be soothing and meditative creatures. I have been meditating on a regular basis for about 15 years and practicing yoga for about 8 years, but there is always room for learning and expansion. This seems to be a kind and welcoming community and I look forward to being part of it. Sending blessings to all.

Here you go Rosemary, dads home ( he’s now 90 & been in Australia all my life)
Is that the truth! Alpacas guarding vegetable from kangaroos. I guess it's every day stuff in Australia but it sounds so outlandish when you live in Sussex!
Hi Gill, This is what I love about meeting people from other places you get to learn so many interesting things like Llama’s keeping kangaroos in line.
Though we are Australian my parents are English ( this my English passport ) & dad was from Hertfordshire too! I want to join in a face to face course when next in the UK. Our friends here have Alpaca’s as they are popular here in keeping kangaroos off your veggie patches ( I live just outside of Melbourne in Gisborne, Victoria)
Oh that’s funny re Pug
Sounds wonderful! What a lovely practice you have created.
Love the idea of doing yoga under a full moon with Alpacas. The closest I can come to at the moment is doing yoga with my Pug. Although he’s not as serene and relaxed as the alpacas.
Hi Rosemary, I love the idea of yoga with alpacas or anything with alpacas, they are so beautiful and funny!
It's great that you've found this space which is amazing, although no alpacas - Alistair please note!
Yes, indeed - welcome Rosemary. Great to have you here.
Funny that you run an alpaca farm and are interested in yoga - I was just filming Escape in Cheshire and one of the mooted segments was doing Alpyoga which was a yoga class in the midst of a field of alapacas! Apparently, they are - as you say - incredibly calming and respond beuatifully to the differnet asanas. In the end it was a little too outre for the BBC. BUt tickled me that I then heard from
Hi Rosemary, so pleased you have found us. Alistair and his husband Daniel have seen us through the pandemic ( ' live',via a Zoom room) every day except Sundays ,helping us both spiritually and physically with their loving kindness and generosity.
You've landed in the best place possible. Welcome!!❤️🙏
Welcome!
