A lot of wisdom here. A musing as I get ready for my day ….

One teacher, Jesus, was really angered by the pride of the religious class of his time. Reading about the medieval church - pride almost equaled the pride of the BAB ( born again bunch ) of todays assured ‘saved’.

I think it’s very human to be proud of what folk labour over which of course if religious practice would include that I suppose. But if as you imply enlightenment is a gift given, it is not our achievement-Its like opening one’s eyes to a beautiful sunny day.

The day is there-we didn’t make it ; it is recognised at one level as part of us ( assumption = all living is a part of each other) but it’s not our creation. Because it is part of us maybe there’s a temptation to think it is of our doing? -but it’s not really.

There is that which I am proud of -I think this is good but pride like any response can over take and ‘ turn’.

Balance, in all things-balance and ‘BE’ glad in the beauty of a new day, for me that’s the challenge, just to be thankful.( and yup sometimes not easy)
