@Alistair Appleton Hello Alistair, How lovely to get a reply from you. Thank you for asking. Yes, I do live close to the sea. About 1.6 kilometers away. I an so fortunate I have been able to be close to the water my whole life. Are you familiar with a place called San Diego? That is the area of California that I live in currently. But I also lived in San Francisco for many years.

@Katrina Deed thank you so much for your reply! I am so fascinated that you have Californian redwoods there. I don’t discriminate between redwoods I love them all! You’ve painted a lovely picture and I can just see myself walking through the ferns and the redwoods and all the beauty that you talk about. The closest one to me now is eight hours away and I really miss being able to walk through them. 🌿🌲

Hi Alistair, Thank you for the reply. I truly was there in spirit. a very peaceful relaxing weekend for me all the way in California. We celebrated Father’s Day on Sunday and I had a lovely day with my father and a delicious dinner. I truly look forward to the tapes of the retreat. All the best and have a wonderful week!

Dad was from Hertfordshire too! If I will try and upload a photo as my daughter & I visited his old home just prior to Covid restrictions( where Australia then really got to know the reality of being an island !- isolated etc )

hello carol ! just did join this forum and wonderful side today and reading through loads of posts. did like what you did write and thought, i send a little note over... would be nice to may get the chance to chat at some point... i left west sussex for denmark 2 years ago and only just get a grip on dealing with the painful impact of leaving my beloved england... all the best with your quest on here... tanja

@Alistair Appleton Hello Alistair, well I can't believe you've in the Geneva Rd house for 10 years! Jon and I have admired that location so many times. We are only 5 mins walk away from you in Meeching Rd, and we've been there for 30 years. I also didn't know the Practice Space was vandalised, so sad - but now the whole area is closed off for building works and I think Daniel would have had to close anyway. Cuckmere is wonderful - wishing you a happy move!
