I had my phone with me last night and reached for it at 3.30am but didn’t start at Day 1, instead skipping randomly to Day 7, the vajrasattva mantra. I found this really softened the edges. It was a good choice also as I’d awakened worrying about a condolence conversation I should have had yesterday but hadn’t.
The mantra - especially when Alistair spoke it while I just listened, along with the visualization of the white lotus, moon disc above and the vajrasattva seated - light radiating was especially soothing.
It was a win as I went straight back to sleep instead of the usual perseveration over unchangeable things 🤪
I’m going to learn this mantra and try it before bed each night and see how that goes.
The only tripsy part is that we don’t, as a rule, have phones/ipads in the bedroom…
